Camp Tri-Mount Overnighter
On the weekend of November 8th 2003 Troop 45 spent a chilly overnight at Camp Tri-Mount. Together with Troop 357 from Schenectady, we did a compass course, watched the lunar eclipse and participated in a flag retirement ceremony. The temperature overnight went to 12 degrees F, but everyone braved the cold and survived to make breakfast, join Troop 357 for an "All Scouts Ceremony" and sharpen our knife and axe safety skills before heading out. Arenacross at the Pepsi Arena
On November 7th 2003 Troop 45 attended Scout Night at the Pepsi Arena to see some National Arenacross competition. There was a party just for Scouts from all over the area before the show. Pictures

North Lake Hike
On October 25th 2003 Troop 45 hiked a section of the Escarpment trail from from North Lake campsite to North Point. We had great weather and the views were spectacular, but it was very windy at the top of North Point. Pictures

Fall Camp-o-ree 2003
Seventeen Scouts and eight adults spent a very rainy weekend doing first aid, knot tying, orienteering, lashings, fire building and cooking over an open fire. Pictures

Biking Saratoga National
Battlefield
On September 20th, 18 Scouts and 9 Adults spent the day touring the Battlefield by bike and car. Then we checked out the museum and watched a movie about the Battle of Saratoga. Pictures

Canoe Trip in the Allagash
Wilderness in Maine
Close to a 100 mile wilderness canoeing adventure. This is the 4th time in 10years the Troop has canoed the Allagash with the senior scouts. Pictures

BattenKill River 2003
Troop45 canoes the 24 mile Battenkill river from Vermont into NewYork every year in May. Pictures

Spring Backpacking
On the weekend of June 7th & 8th Troop 45 had 12 Boy Scouts and 5 Adult Leaders backpack into Devils Kitchen lean-to in the Catskill Mts. This was the first backpacking trip for some of our new scouts. The weekend had some rainy weather but the scouts had a lot of fun. pictures

Winter Camp 2003 On the weekend of February 21st , 22nd , 23rd Troop 45 went winter camping at the Wilton Wildlife Preserve ( Formerly Camp Saratoga ) in Gansevoort, NY . The Troop had 12 scouts and 6 leaders camp for the weekend. The scouts had a fun filled weekend of snow related activates. pictures

First Aid Meet 2003 On Saturday February 1st Troop 45 had 6 Scouts attend the annual First Aid Meet put on by Dave Battini ScoutMaster of Greenville Troop 42. It was held at the Greenville Rescue Squad building. The scouts had to participate in many different scenarios. The Troop, led by Asst. Senior Patrol Leader Keith B. brought back a 2nd place overall ribbon. We will practice all year with our new scouts and we'll win first next year. pictures |

Klondike
Derby 2003
On Saturday January 25th Troop 45 had 7 scouts and 4 leaders attend the Council Klondike derby held at Camp Tri-Mount. 4 scouts and 2 adults also did some over night winter camping in tents. pictures |
