Cornell Mountain (3860')

Cornell Mountain is the ninth highest mountain in the Catskills.  It is part of the Burroughs mountain range which includes Giant Ledge, Wittenberg Mountain, Cornell Mountain and Slide Mountain.  There is no exciting views from the top of Cornell because of it's thick growth.  You can catch views of the steep face of Slide Mt. that gives it it's name.

There is only one trail that goes over the top of Cornell and that is the Whittenberg-Cornell-Slide Trail

There is a map at the bottom of the page.smcornell.jpg (12342 bytes)
