Graham Mountain (3868')

Graham Mountain is the seventh highest mountain in the Catskills at 3868'.  Graham is also almost entirerly privately owned.  Permission will need to be obtained to climb this peek.  It is owned by the Gould Family.  The best way to get to the summet is to take the Dry Brook Ridge Trail (blue) for 1.8 miles til you get to the old access road that leads to the top of the mountain (the dotted trail below).  The reason the road was built is because there is an old TV relay tower at the top which is not much of a site because it is all run down.  The trail is not very difficult because it was ment for vehicles to get to the top.  Hiking to the top makes an excellent day hike which can be topped off by hiking to the top of Balsam Lake Mt. which has an excellent fire tower on the way back.

The top does offer good views of the surounding mountains and valleys.  You can view Balsam Lake, the 16th hightest mountain in the Catskill, to the west.  To the east and southeast you can view Doubletop Mt., Eagle Mt., and Big Indian Mt.
